BRIEFLY.Man, 21, to stand trial in '05 attack LANCASTER -- A Lancaster man, 21, was ordered to stand trial Wednesday on charges of attempted murder in a 2005 attack on five high school students who were beaten and stabbed as they left a birthday party and in a December assault in which two people were stabbed. Dravell Black was one of five charged in the March 2005 case that involved five victims, all Highland High School students, who were assaulted by a group of 15 to 20 in what authorities think was a case of mistaken identity. Black also is charged in a Dec.2 assault at a house in Lancaster where two people were stabbed by two men, apparently the result of a dispute about money and alcohol, sheriff's deputies said. -- Daily News Deputies arrest 7 reputed gangsters LANCASTER -- Seven reputed gang members were arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism, drug offenses and other charges after sheriff's deputies found $2,500 worth of graffiti damage on walls, slides and picnic tables at Mariposa Park, deputies said Wednesday. Three adults -- Benjamin Perez, Jesus Benitez and Brenda Delafuente, all 18 and from Lancaster -- and four juveniles were taken into custody Tuesday after deputies went to the park at 45755 Fig Ave. to investigate a report of people drinking and fighting. -- Daily News Drunken driving suspected in crash PALMDALE -- A man plowed his vehicle into a home in the 38000 block of Ocotillo Drive about 2a.m. Wednesday, but there were no injuries, the California Highway Patrol said.
