The 44-year-old man, whose name was not released, was riding his Kawasaki east on Parthenia Street about 3:20 a.m. when the Chevrolet, heading north on Canoga Avenue, struck him.

The Chevrolet driver, identified only as a 24-year-old Arleta resident, fled the scene and was later arrested.

Man shot, killed at party in NoHo

NORTH HOLLYWOOD -- A man was fatally shot at a party in North Hollywood early Sunday, police said.

The shooting in the 7200 block of Irvine Avenue occurred about 1:15 a.m., said Los Angeles police Sgt. Christopher Vasquez of the North Hollywood Station.

The victim got into an argument with another man, who shot him, Vasquez said. The victim, whose name was withheld, was declared dead at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center Providence Holy Cross Medical Center is a hospital in Mission Hills, California, USA. The hospital has 254 beds, and is part of Providence Health & Services. History  in Mission Hills, he said.

Several people saw what happened, Vasquez said, but no description of the gunman was available. No immediate arrests were made.

Jonny Aguilar Arias was identified by the victim as the attacker, although he could have given a false name, police said. He was described as Latino, about 6 feet tall and 190 pounds, with his hair in a ponytail.

The woman told police she heard some noise outside her home in the 10000 block of Stanwin Avenue about 3 a.m. Saturday and went to investigate, according to Los Angeles police Officer Mike Lopez.

Suspect ID'd in triple homicide

Detectives Sunday identified a suspect in a triple homicide at a restaurant in Koreatown, saying the ex-boyfriend of one of the victims may be to blame for the murders.

Tai Zhi Cui, 55, was the ex-boyfriend of a waitress found shot to death along with Jae Woong Cho, 46, and another man at the Cinyuya Restaurant at 3418 W. Eighth St., police said.

Anyone having contact with Cui should consider him armed and dangerous. Detectives encourage anyone with any information to call (877) 529-3855 (LAWFULL).
