Palmdale teen dies in stabbing

Freeway crash kills 1, hurts 1

CAMARILLO -- One man died and another was hospitalized after their car crashed into the back of a semi-trailer on the Conejo Grade early Saturday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Jason Hwang, 21, of Ventura, was driving his 2006 Hyundai north on the Ventura Freeway ) around 5:40 a.m. at an unknown speed when he veered to the right and rear-ended the semi, officials said.

Paramedics pronounced Hwang dead at the scene.

Honda veers off road; driver dies

MALIBU -- A 72-year-old woman died after the car she was driving crashed down the side of Encinal Canyon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Janet Bailey of Malibu was driving her 1998 Honda Accord south on Encinal Canyon Road when she veered into the northbound lanes and off the road, officials said.

Bailey was discovered at 11:50 a.m. Friday after her husband reported her missing.

Paramedics pronounced her dead at the scene.

Witnesses sought to fatal collision

BURBANK -- Police on Saturday asked for the public's help in finding any witnesses who may have seen a delivery truck fatally strike a 70-year-old man in Burbank.

Ricardo Santuya was struck while crossing Alameda Avenue, west of Victory Boulevard, around 7:40 p.m. Friday, the Burbank Police Department The Burbank Police Department is the police department serving Burbank, California.
