Menard court date postponed

San Fernando (săn fərnăn`dō), city (1991 pop. 144,761), Buenos Aires prov., E Argentina. It is a district administrative center in the Greater Buenos Aires area.
 -- Tuesday's arraignment A criminal proceeding at which the defendant is officially called before a court of competent jurisdiction, informed of the offense charged in the complaint, information, indictment, or other charging document, and asked to enter a plea of guilty, not guilty, or as otherwise permitted  was postponed until Sept. 20 for Brandon Menard, charged with capital murder in the stabbing deaths of his parents and 16-year-old sister.

Menard, 21, was arrested Aug. 4, roughly 13 hours after the bodies of David, 56, and Toni Menard, 55, and Ashley Menard were found at their Northridge home.

Police found the parents' bodies in the living room and Ashley's in the backyard.

Investigators say Ashley called 911 and pleaded for help shortly before Brandon called Brandon Spencer Lee Call (born November 17 1976) is an American actor. He portrayed J.T. Lambert on the ABC sitcom Step by Step and Hobie Buchannon during the first season of Baywatch. Call also briefly endorsed the popular early 90's beverage, Boku.  to report that he had returned home and found his family dead.

Car-semi crash leaves 3 hurt

SAN FERNANDO -- Three people were hospitalized Tuesday after an early morning crash between a car and a UPS tractor-trailer, authorities said.

The crash occurred about 6 a.m. at Arroyo Street and Foothill Boulevard The following streets are named Foothill Boulevard:
  • Foothill Boulevard (Southern California)
  • Foothill Boulevard (East Bay, California)
, where the car pulled out of an alley and collided with the big rig Big Rig was a punk band from the San Francisco Bay Area fronted by singer/songwriter Jesse Michaels. Michaels performed with the group after the break up of his previous project, Operation Ivy, and before forming the band Common Rider. , police said.

The UPS truck, which had the right of way, ran off the road and hit a tree, while the car collided with a lamppost.

Three passengers in the car were hurt, two critically, police said. The truck driver was not injured.

Drowned boy's body recovered

GLASSELL PARK -- The body of a young boy was recovered from the Los Angeles River The Los Angeles River is an intermittent river flowing through Los Angeles County, California, from Canoga Park in the west end of the San Fernando Valley, 51 miles (82 km) southeast to its mouth in Long Beach.  on Tuesday, about two hours after witnesses reported seeing him go under water and fail to resurface re·sur·face

Firefighters were called to the river near the Metrolink maintenance yard about 2 p.m., said Brian Humphrey of the city Fire Department.

A group of youths reported that the 12- to 14-year-old boy went into the water and disappeared, Humphrey said. The boy's body was found about 4 p.m.

The boy's name was not immediately released.
