Emblem Club hosts Crab Fest

Volleyball league registration open

SANTA CLARITA -- Registration is being accepted for the U.S. Youth Volleyball League fall program at www.usyvl.org.

The eight weeks of volleyball will focus on serving, hitting, setting and spiking as well as the fundamentals of volleyball. Children between the ages of 8 and 14 are invited to register.

District grads earn scholarships

Students invited to music academy

NEWHALL -- Music students with at least a year's experience can enroll in the Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  Education Through the Arts summer music academy.

Lots going on at Newhall Library

NEWHALL -- The following activities are scheduled this month at the Newhall Library, 22704 9th St., Newhall.

Musical Tales with Craig Newton will take place from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

A children's movie will be shown from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The Balloon Lady will visit from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. July 18.

There will be a Swazzle Puppet Show from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. July 25.
