A bomb squad sent to the 10800 block of Bloomfield Street about 11 p.m. Saturday found that one plastic bottle packed with dry ice dry ice: see carbon dioxide. had exploded, said Los Angeles police Sgt. Larry Poehls of the North Hollywood station. A mixture of dry ice and water in a sealed 1- or 2-liter plastic bottle will build up enough pressure to cause the container to explode, he said.
