BRIEFLY.Festival to offer stories, puppets LAKE LOS ANGELES - Stories, crafts and a puppet show will be part of the Lake Los Angeles Public Library's Winter Reading Wonderland family festival. The event will be held from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the library, 16921 E. Ave. O, Suite A. There will be gifts for children who obtain a library card or check out a book. In addition to stories and crafts for children, there will be a table for teens. The highlight will be a puppet show, ``Polly Polar Bear polar bear, large white bear, Ursus maritimus, formerly Thalarctos maritimus, of the coasts of arctic North America. Polar bears usually live on drifting pack ice, but sometimes wander long distances inland. They are powerful swimmers and may cross 20 to 30 mi (30–50 km) of water at a time.
