Walk, run to raise funds for charity

PALMDALE - A walk and run Saturday at Desert Sands Park will raise money for charity.

A one-kilometer children's race begins at 8:30 a.m. at the park, 39117 3rd St. E. Five-kilometer and 10-kilometer races and a five-kilometer walk begin at 9 a.m.

Breakfast to aid child abuse group

 Child Abuse Prevention Council will host a breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Resource Center, 45134 Sierra Highway Sierra Highway is a road in Southern California, United States. It runs from Tunnel Station near the north limit of the City of Los Angeles, where it intersects with San Fernando Road and Foothill Boulevard, as well as Interstate 5, and continues north to Mojave, mostly paralleling .

Donation is $5 for adults and $3 for children younger than 12 for eggs, sausage and all-you-can-eat pancakes, plus juice or coffee.
