Discovery of body leads to arrest

GLENDALE - A man was arrested Wednesday in connection with an unidentified woman found dead in his kitchen, the victim of multiple stab wounds, Glendale police said.

Police were called at 5:25 p.m. to the 500 block of W. Dryden Street, where they found a 26-year-old man outside his home, said Sherri Servillo, spokeswoman for the Glendale Police Department. The man was arrested on suspicion of homicide.

Police found the victim lying in the kitchen, where she had died after she was repeatedly stabbed with an unknown object, Servillo said. There were no other suspects.

City to seek OK on project

GLENDALE - The City Council has voted 5-0 to seek to spend $640,000 in federal money to improve rather than close the Chevy Chase Chevy Chase (chĕv`ē), town (1990 pop. 8,559), Montgomery co., W central Md., a residential suburb of Washington, D.C.; founded as a village, inc. 1914.  Drive rail crossing.

Atwater Village residents say they would be isolated if a cul-de-sac is created on Chevy Chase Drive.

Woman arrested in baby's death
