New crew hunts for elusive gator

Gas Co. boosting assistance fund

Families who cannot afford to heat their homes this winter can expect increased assistance from the Southern California Gas This article or section needs sources or references that appear in reliable, third-party publications. The Gas Company will contribute $4 for every $1 customers donate to the Gas Assistance Fund - up to $800,000.

The fund provides a one-time credit of up to $150 on a customer's winter bill. From November through April, funds will be available through the United Way of Greater Los Angeles.

Lohan in car crash in her Mercedes

A black Mercedes-Benz driven by actress Lindsay Lohan collided with a van on a West Hollywood street on Tuesday afternoon, according to television news reports and a witness who said he saw the crash. It wasn't immediately known if anybody was hurt.

A reporter for the syndicated television show ``The Insider'' said she was filming a segment when she witnessed the crash.
