Cop impersonatos mug older couple

VAN NUYS - A man and woman in their 70s were mugged Friday by two men with shaved heads who may have been posing as law enforcement officers, police said.

The couple were in the parking lot of a business complex in the 16300 block of Roscoe Boulevard about 10:50 a.m. when they were approached by two men, believed to be in their early 20s. The men were wearing tactical vests or black T-shirts with the word ``police'' in white lettering on them, authorities said.

One of the men pushed the woman to the ground and took her purse before fleeing in a metallic gray or silver 2005 Mitsubishi sedan. The woman was unhurt.
