Judge withholds new church's OK

Two anti-cancer events set today

Not guilty plea entered by doctor

The Department of Water and Power on Friday advised residents of the Laurel Canyon and Mount Olympus areas to boil their tap water because of the water main break earlier this week that also snarled traffic on Laurel Canyon Boulevard Laurel Canyon Boulevard is a major street in the city of Los Angeles, California. Brothers' deaths blamed on con

A man convicted along with a former attorney of draining the $380,000 insurance policy of a dead police officer's sons was charged Friday with murdering the two brothers four years ago in Inglewood.

Timothy Mack was ordered held without bail in the June 6, 2001, shooting deaths of Howard Byrdsong, 20, and his 18-year-old brother, Jontrae.

Mack also is charged with the April 17, 2000, murder of Norman Fields. Authorities said that killing was carried out in retaliation for the death of Mack's brother.

The criminal complaint alleges the special circumstances special circumstances n. in criminal cases, particularly homicides, actions of the accused or the situation under which the crime was committed for which state statutes allow or require imposition of a more severe punishment.  of multiple murders, murder for financial gain, murder of a potential witness and lying in wait, making it a possible death penalty case.
