Identity theft set as workshop topic

LANCASTER - Protecting yourself from identity theft will be the topic of a workshop hosted by Antelope Valley's state lawmakers.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to noon July 8 at Lancaster City Hall, 44933 Fern Ave.

Assemblywoman Sharon Runner Sharon Runner (born May 17 1954, Los Angeles) is a Californian politician. She has been a member of the California State Assembly since 2002. Runner, a Republican from Antelope Valley represents the 36th district. , R-Lancaster, and her husband, state Sen. George Runner George C. Runner, Jr. (born March 25 1952 in Scotia, New York) is a Republican California State Senator, who represents the 17th Senate District, which includes portions of Los Angeles County, San Bernardino County and Ventura County. , R-Lancaster, will host the town-hall meeting with Assembly Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy Kevin McCarthy may refer to any of the following individuals:

The two-hour session will include presentations from local, state and national law enforcement experts.

Public aid needed to identify victim

PALMDALE - Los Angeles County coroner's officials asked for the public's help in identifying a man whose body was found June 13 hanging from a tree in a field off Pearblossom Highway.

The man was described as Latino, 5-foot-8. weighing 135 pounds, about 30 to 45 years old, with brown hair and brown eyes, a mustache and a sparse goatee. He was wearing faded Wrangler wran·gler
