Youth Council needs members

SIMI VALLEY - Local teenagers who would like to get involved in city government are invited to apply for membership on the Simi Valley Youth Council.

The council is made up of 24 high school and middle school students, and the new one-year terms on the council begin July 1.

The group meets for an hour on the first and third Tuesdays of each month, at 5 p.m., during the school year. Applications are available at City Hall, the Simi Valley Library and local schools. For information, call Laura Magness at (805) 522-4473.

SIMI VALLEY - Representatives of the Simi Valley Town Center Simi Valley Town Center is a shopping center located in Simi Valley, California. The mall opened in 2005 with Macy's and Robinsons-May as anchor stores. Dispatcher gets supervisor award

VENTURA - Claudia Tolmie, a supervising public safety dispatcher with the Ventura County Sheriff's Department The Ventura County Sheriff's Department (VCSD) provides law enforcement for the unincorporated areas of Ventura County, California, USA, as well as several cities within the county. The cities that VCSD serves are Camarillo, Fillmore, Moorpark, Ojai, and Thousand Oaks. , has received the Supervisor of the Year Award from the California Public Safety Radio Association.

This was the first time a supervising dispatcher from the Ventura Sheriff's 911 Communications Center had been selected to receive this award.

Paramount Ranch is set for cleanup

SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS The Santa Monica Mountains are a low transverse range in southern California in the United States. Geography

 - Hundreds of people are expected to gather at the Paramount Ranch in Agoura at noon Saturday for a Great American Cleanup project in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area: see National Parks and Monuments (table). .

Volunteers are encouraged to wear long pants and gloves. Drinking water will be provided, along with free garbage bags for the collected trash.

Event for women to be held May 3

SIMI VALLEY - The Simi Valley Hospital Simi Valley Hospital (SVH) is a Seventh-day Adventist hospital located located in Simi Valley, California. SVH is a member of Adventist Health. New Construction
Simi Valley Hospital is in the process of building a new wing to the hospital.
 Foundation will host its annual Hats Off to Women event from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 3 at the Grand Vista Hotel, 99 Enchanted Way in Simi Valley.

The event includes a talk on communication styles of men and women, a vendor boutique, a fashion show during the luncheon, and the opportunity to attend a number of health lectures geared for women.
