Gang members sought in gunfire

PALMDALE - Three men who authorities say are gang members were being sought on suspicion of shooting at a home in the 37700 block of Prentiss Avenue on Tuesday.

A teenage boy and his mother were home at the time of the 2:20 p.m. shooting, but neither was hit, officials said. Investigators were checking neighboring homes for stray bullet holes late Tuesday afternoon.

The three men sped off in a black Chevrolet Tahoe The Chevrolet Tahoe (and similar GMC Yukon) is a full-size SUV from General Motors. Chevrolet and GMC sold two different-sized SUVs under their Blazer/Jimmy model names through the early 1990s. This situation changed when GMC rebadged the full-size Jimmy as the Yukon in 1992.  or Suburban with dark tinted windows, black rims and paper license plates. Deputies said that a witness recognized the driver as a gang member who goes by the nickname Rascal.

Gang investigators said that the shooting may have been related to a shooting last week at a home near 27th Street East and Avenue R-3,

Class to be held for foster parents

PALMDALE - A class on foster-parenting will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Children's Bureau, 1529 E. Palmdale Blvd., Suite 210.

PALMDALE - The American Red Cross American Red Cross: see Red Cross.  will hold its annual March at the Mall from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Antelope Valley Mall The Antelope Valley Mall is an enclosed shopping mall in Palmdale, California.

CPR can be done in a hospital with drugs and special equipment or as a first-aid technique.  and information on the upcoming ``extreme golf'' tournament to be held April 15 at Muroc Golf Course at Edwards Air Force Base Edwards Air Force Base, U.S. military installation, 301,000 acres (121,805 hectares), S Calif., NE of Lancaster; est. 1933. It is one of the largest air force bases in the United States and has the world's longest runway.  and a traditional golf tournament there on April 16.
