Teenager fatally stabbed in neck

OXNARD - A teenage boy died Sunday after being stabbed in the neck near his home in the 2200 block of Lassen Street, according to Ventura County coroner's officials.

Police have made no arrests and haven't yet discovered a motive.

Ricardo Fabian Acosta-Rosales, 17, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. A friend of the teen found his body on the sidewalk and put him in his car to take him to the hospital when a motorcycle police unit drove by. The friend waved down the policeman, who called paramedics.

Service set today for rail conductor

GLENDALE - A service is set today for an Amtrak Amtrak, the National Railroad Passenger Corp., authorized to operate virtually all intercity passenger railroad routes in the United States. Man killed trying to cross freeway

UNIVERSAL CITY - A 53-year-old man who tried to cross the Hollywood Freeway on foot was fatally struck Sunday near Universal City, a coroner's official said.
