Girl, 6, hit, killed standing with dad

ENCINO - A 6-year-old girl standing with her father Thursday outside Lanai Lanai (lənī`), island, 141 sq mi (365 sq km), central Hawaii, W of Maui island across the Auau Channel; Mt. Last teen pleads guilty in assault

SIMI VALLEY - The last of four teens who beat an African-American teen in a Simi Valley shopping center last month pleaded guilty Thursday to felony assault and committing a hate crime, officials said.

The 17-year-old Simi Valley boy faces up to eight years in a juvenile detention facility at his Jan. 31 sentencing.

Two 16-year-olds from Simi Valley and a 17-year-old from Granada Hills also await sentencings on the charges, said Deputy District Attorney Stacy Ratner. The four shouted racial slurs in the Dec. 6 beating of Jim King of Reseda, who suffered a dislocated dis·lo·cate
