Exhibit about Thailand on display this weekend

An exhibit about Thailand and its king that was shown when a Thai princess visited Eugene last weekend will be on display today and Sunday at 201 W. Broadway.

The exhibit includes reproductions of paintings by King Bhumibol Adulyadej Bhumibol Adulyadej (p`mēpôl' ädl`yädĕt'), 1927–, king of Thailand (1946–), b.  of Thailand, information about Thailand in English and in Thai, and information about the U.S. Thai Distance Learning Organization.

The University of Oregon is one of 60 members of the Association of American Universities.  will staff the exhibit, which is open from noon to 7 p.m. and is free. Road work to close 42nd-Main intersection

SPRINGFIELD - The intersection of 42nd and Main streets will be closed on Sunday beginning at 6 a.m., with work scheduled to be finished by 9 a.m.

The signal control cabinet that manages traffic lights at the intersection is being replaced with a new control mechanism.

Flaggers will be stationed at all four points of the intersection.
