Suspect in store robberies arrested

Eugene police arrested a man Friday suspected in at least three robberies of convenience stores The following is a list of convenience stores organized by geographical location. Stores are grouped by the lowest heading that contains all locales in which the brands have significant presence.  in the area of West 18th Avenue and Chambers Street Chambers Street is a street in Edinburgh, Scotland, at south of the Old Town. The street is named after William Chambers of Glenormiston, the Lord Provost of Edinburgh who was the main proponent of the 1867 Edinburgh Improvement Act, which gave permission for the street's  in the past three days.

Loper is accused of entering Dari Mart Dari Mart is an American chain of convenience stores with 43 locations in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, from Albany to Cottage Grove. It is most notable as a supplier of milk, ice cream, and other dairy products from Lochmead Farms , 7-11 and Circle K stores around 18th and Chambers and stealing beer. When confronted by employees, he physically and verbally threatened them, police said.

About 2:30 Friday, officer Richard Bremer spotted Loper near 14th Avenue and Taylor Street. Bremer chased down Loper, who escaped and fled again, only to be detained once more.

Eugene police are following up on other crimes in that area that may have been committed by a man matching Loper's description. Loper is white, 6 feet tall and 190 pounds with brown hair. Area businesses with unreported crimes should call Bremer at 682-5154, Ext. 1182.

Police seek suspect in armed robbery

SPRINGFIELD - Springfield police are seeking the public's help in finding a suspect in an armed robbery early Friday at Red's Deli in the 4100 block of Main Street.

The man, dressed in black, wearing a ski mask and armed with a pistol, entered the business around 2 a.m. and demanded money. He then got into the passenger seat of a white, mid-1990s, four-door Honda Civic with a loud muffler muffler, in automobiles, device designed to reduce the noise from the exhaust of an internal-combustion engine. When the exhaust gases from an internal-combustion engine are released directly into the atmosphere, they create a loud noise, caused by the passage of the .

Anyone with information about the suspect may phone police at 726-3728.
