Nursing home puts on

health and fitness event

The 11th annual National Senior Health and Fitness Day is happening from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at Riverpark, a nursing and rehabilitation rehabilitation: see physical therapy.  center at 425 Alexander Loop, Eugene.

Three-day rummage sale to aid community fair

BLACHLY - The Blachly Community Fair Board is sponsoring a three-day rummage sale this weekend at the Lake Creek Rural Fire Department. All proceeds go to support the fair.

The hours of the sale are noon to 6 p.m. Friday; and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday Sunday: see Sabbath; week. . Everything will be half-price on Sunday. For information, contact Carol at 927-3084.

State Senate candidate

to be at Rubicon event

Norm Thomas, Republican candidate for Oregon Senate District 4, will discuss his campaign at the Rubicon Society meeting at noon Thursday at the Pearl Street Ice Cream Parlour, 1313 Pearl St.

The event is open to the public. Lunch is optional.

Group to continue talks on anti-Semitism

The Friends of Pacifica Forum will hold a discussion at noon Friday in the Century E Room, Erb Memorial Union, University of Oregon The University of Oregon is a public university located in Eugene, Oregon. The university was founded in 1876, graduating its first class two years later. The University of Oregon is one of 60 members of the Association of American Universities. . The continued review of a recent collection of essays, "The Politics of Anti-Semitism," will take place.
