Springfield library adds wireless Internet service

SPRINGFIELD - The Springfield Public Library is getting with the times, technologically speaking.

The library now provides access for wireless Internet devices. Patrons don't need to have a library card to use the "WiFi" service at the facility, located inside City Hall at 225 Fifth St.

Also, the library has upgraded its electronic card catalog. Patrons can now reserve and renew materials online, read book summaries, view best-seller lists and more - all from the comfort of their own homes.

The library's Web site is www.ci.springfield.or.us/library.
