Homeless youth will

be subject of meetings

The League of Women Voters League of Women Voters, voluntary public service organization of U.S. citizens. Organized in 1920 in Chicago as an outgrowth of the National American Woman Suffrage Association, it had as its original nucleus the leaders of the latter organization.  of Lane County will host a series of meetings this week to discuss homeless youth in Lane County.

Meetings are scheduled for 9:30 a.m. today at Central Presbyterian Church Located on the northeast corner of Brazos and Bois d'Arc (now Eighth Street), Central Presbyterian Church in Austin Texas traces its roots to the organization of the first Presbyterian church in Austin on Sunday, October 13, 1839. Rotary Club to hand out

law enforcement honors

Three Lane County law enforcement personnel will be honored by the Eugene Delta Rotary at noon Friday at the River Ranch restaurant on Franklin Boulevard.

Oregon State Police trooper Martin Maher Martin "Marty" Maher, Jr. (25 June 1876 – 17 January 1961) was an Irish immigrant from Ballycrine, County Tipperary, Ireland, who joined the United States Army in 1898 and rose to the rank of master sergeant. , Lane County sheriff's deputy Drew Wattier and Eugene police tactical dispatcher Software that determines what pending tasks should be done next and assigns the available resources to accomplish it. Women to prepare

for national war protest

Lane County Women's Action for New Directions will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the McNail-Riley Neighborhood Center, 601 W. 13th Ave.

Carol Melia will present songs and chants in preparation for national Mother's Day actions against the war and occupation in Iraq.
