Lane Transit District A transit district or transit authority is a special-purpose district organized as either a corporation chartered by statute, or a government agency, created for the purpose of providing public transportation within a specific region.  will not provide bus service on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. Regular bus service will resume on Friday.

In order to provide a transportation alternative while not in service on Thanksgiving Day, LTD offers the Holiday Taxi Program.

Individuals who take a taxi ride on Thanksgiving Day can use up to $10 of the taxi fare as a credit toward the future purchase of bus tokens or a bus pass.

A taxi receipt must be redeemed in order to receive the credit.

Receipts must be redeemed at LTD Customer Service at 11th Avenue and Willamette Street in Eugene by Jan. 16, 2006.
