Registration opens for women leaders event

Registration has begun for the 2005 Western Oregon This article is about the region of Western Oregon. For the University, see Western Oregon University.
Western Oregon is a geographical term that is generally taken to apply to the portion of the state of Oregon that is west of the Cascade Range.
 Women's conference, a professional development event for women leaders on Oct. 19 at the Hilton Eugene.

This first-ever conference, meant to fund the Lane County Domestic Violence Council, includes more than 20 local, regional and national presenters with workshops on personal and professional enrichment.

 will be Wilma Mankiller Wilma Pearl Mankiller (born November 18, 1945 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma) was the first female Chief of the Cherokee Nation.

Mankiller grew up with her family at Mankiller Flats.

Registration is $75 through Sept. 30 and $100 thereafter. Exhibitor spaces are available for $100.
