Car trouble delayed

SPRINGFIELD - A man reported missing after he failed to return home from a friend's house Tuesday night was delayed by car trouble, the Lane County Sheriff's Office said.

Monte Reo Sutton, 47, of Springfield was stranded in the Lowell area after experiencing mechanical trouble, Sgt. Rene Stone reported. He has since returned home.

Sketch released of man wanted in assault

CRESWELL - Lane County sheriff's detectives have released a sketch of a man who sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl in a public restroom.

The girl told police that a white man in his late 20s to early 30s assaulted her about 5:30 p.m. Sunday inside the women's restroom at the Creswell City Park. The man left on foot.

Detectives released the sketch Thursday. The man was described as about 6 feet tall and muscular with shoulder-length dark hair, a tan complexion complexion /com·plex·ion/ (kom-plek´shun) the color and appearance of the skin of the face.
