Marche to feature

Italian winemaker

A special evening with Italian winemaker Cristina Geminiani of Fattoria Zerbina, an 81.5-acre estate in one of the prime areas of Romagna, is scheduled Wednesday at Marche Restaurant in the Fifth Street Public Market.

A six-course Italian dinner will be served at 6 p.m., with one seating only. The prix fixe prix fixe

 menu is $55 per person and includes five Fattoria Zerbina wines: a trebbiano, three sangioveses and a dessert wine.

The dinner will begin with an array of antipasti Antipasti can refer to:

Wine and Food Classic

set for March 28-30

The McMinnville Wine and Food Classic will be held on the weekend of March 28-30 in the Ad Rutschman Ad Rutschman (October 30, 1931 – ) was a head football coach at Linfield College. Wine and food lovers can enjoy demonstrations by guest chefs, live music and displays of gourmet foods and fine art for sale. Admission is $10.

Parade magazine cooks

up its own `bake sale'

Each year, 13 million children in the United States are hungry or at risk of hunger. That's why Parade magazine and Share Our Strength, an anti-hunger organization, will host the first Great American Bake Sale.

Parade will launch the sale with a cover story on childhood hunger on April 27. The program will continue through July 22.

Americans are encouraged to register at www .greatamericanbakesale.org and host a bake sale.
