To this end, Cook's Pots & Tabletops, 2807 Oak St., has scheduled an Elegant Evening of Oregon Cuisine from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. next Friday Next Friday is the 2000 sequel to Friday , which depicts the neighborhood of South Los Angeles in a comedic sense. The hero, Craig Jones (Ice Cube), leaves home and moves in with his lottery winning and sex-crazed Uncle Elroy (Don "D.C." Curry) in Rancho Cucamonga. , Dec. 12. Keith Ellis is the chef, and Gremmels is the featured guest.

Rogue cheeses have won nine medals and two trophies in recent months.

The 2003 World Cheese Awards, held Nov. 4-9 in London, gave Rogue River Blue - Rogue Creamery's smooth-textured, tangy, blue-veined cheese - three accolades. It won a gold medal as the best blue-vein cheese made outside the United Kingdom and a trophy as the best blue cheese in the competition, and it was judged the third-best cheese overall.

The menu for the event features an Oregon Blue Martini with Bombay Sapphire gin and fresh rosemary, a selection of Rogue Creamery cheeses, Oregonzola Pizza with Prosciutto pro·sciut·to

Holiday Ale Festival

starts today in Portland

The Holiday Ale Festival, celebrating the release of 25 craft-brewed winter ales, takes place today through Sunday in a heated tent in Portland's Pioneer Courthouse Square Pioneer Courthouse Square, affectionately known as Portland's living room,[1] is a public space occupying a full 40,000 ft² (3700 m²) city block in the center of downtown Portland, Oregon. .

Festival hours are from noon to 9:30 p.m. today and Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The festival also features on-site food, craft vendors, a root beer garden, appearances by Santa Claus and Ebenezer Scrooge, and seasonal music.

Admission is free. Minors are permitted with parent.

A 2003 souvenir mug is required for tasting beer and costs $3. It's $3 for each mug of beer, or $1 for a taste.
