A processing and shipping center in a farming area, the "Emerald City" has lumbering, food-processing, and microchip and other electronics industries. Area Chamber of Commerce is taking nominations for the Emerald Awards, a new program honoring the contributions of businesses to the economy of the Eugene-Springfield area. An awards presentation will be held on Sept. 22 in the Soreng Soreng is a town in West Sikkim in India. It is known for its wide variety of flowers and birds. Soreng is about 4 hrs from Pelling and 3 hrs from Melli.It is one of the three gateways to Barsey. Theater of the Hult Center in Eugene. Tickets will be available Friday Friday: see Sabbath; week.
