Johnson and Boise State's Troy Merritt shared the lead at 7-under 135, one shot ahead of Oregon's Jack Dukeminier, who shot back-to-back 68s.

national recognition

Linda Mulvihill, owner and operator of the National Academy of Artistic Gymnastics in Eugene, is one of eight athletes who will be inducted as a World Acrobatic Legend at the World Acrobatic Society's annual convention in Las Vegas on Wednesday.

Mulvihill was a member of the U.S. national gymnastics team for nine years and competed in three Olympic Games, beginning in 1964 in Tokyo at age 16 and including the Mexico City games in 1968 and the Munich games in 1972.
