Two shootings appear unrelated

PACOIMA -- A man was shot in the eye early Sunday at a party and a woman was shot in the hip about the same time less than two miles away, an LAPD 1. LAPD - Link Access Procedure on the D channel.

The shootings, which appeared unrelated, happened about 4 a.m.

The man, whose name was not released, was shot in the 13000 block of Terra Bella Street. He was taken by friends to a nearby hospital, said Los Angeles Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  police Officer Norma Eisenman.

The woman, whose name was also not revealed, was shot in the hip about the same time in the 13400 block of Cornelius Street, Eisenman said.

2 men wounded near Hyde Park Hyde Park, park, London, England

Two men were wounded Sunday in separate shootings near Hyde Park, police said.

The first shooting happened about 4:10 p.m. at 1707 W. 80th St. near Hyde Park and Morningside Park, said Los Angeles police Sgt. Jerome Calhoun of the 77th Street Station.

The second attack occurred about the same time at 1721 W. Florence Ave. in Hyde Park, Calhoun said.

The conditions of the victims were unavailable, and the suspects in both shootings were at large, he said.
