Water issues subject of talk

Drama class festival is set

ROSAMOND -- Rosamond High School's advanced drama class will present its Spring One-Act Festival at 7 p.m. today through Friday in the performing arts room at the school, 2925 Rosamond Blvd. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for limited seating.

There will be seven one-act plays, six of which are directed by seniors and juniors and genres include comedy, drama and Theatre of the Absurd Theatre of the Absurd

Bus schedules, routes talk topic

PALMDALE -- A representative from the Antelope Valley Transit Authority Antelope Valley Transit Authority is the transit agency serving the cities of Palmdale and Lancaster and their suburbs. Antelope Valley Transit Authority is operated under contract by Veolia Transport, and is affiliated and offers connecting services with Metro and Metrolink.  will be the guest speaker Friday at the AARP's Palmdale chapter's 1 p.m. monthly meeting at the Senior Center, 1002 E. Ave. Q-12.

The agency official will talk about bus routes and schedules.

Mom's 'Medley' at arts center

LANCASTER -- "A Mother's Day Musical Medley" will be presented by the Lancaster Community Orchestra on Thursday evening at the Lancaster Performing Arts Center A performing arts center, often abbreviated PAC, is a multi-use performance space that can be adapted for use by various types of the performing arts, including dance, music and theatre. , 750 W. 'Peace, Praise' performance set

LANCASTER -- The Antelope Valley Symphony Orchestra and Master Chorale chorale (kōrăl`, –räl`), any of the traditional hymns of the German Protestant Church. The form was developed after the Reformation to replace the plainsong of the earlier service and as a means of congregational participation in  and the Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California.  will hold its eighth annual Golf Classic on Monday at the Antelope Valley Country Club, 39800 Country Club Drive.

The event will be a four-person scramble format with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. The cost is $125 per person and includes green fees, cart, range balls, continental breakfast, prizes and awards banquet.

Joshua School carnival slated

LANCASTER -- Joshua School will hold a spring carnival and health fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the school, 43926 2nd St. E.

The event will feature food, educational and recreational booths. Admission is free, and food and game tickets are 25 cents each.
