In Moorpark, there will be both live and silent auctions at the 20th annual dinner and auction March 31 in the Air Force One Pavilion of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Coordinates:

Foy seeks to fill seats on panels

SIMI VALLEY -- Ventura County Supervisor Peter Foy Peter Foy (11 June 1925-17 February 2005) was the stage flight effects specialist who founded "Flying by Foy", most widely known for its work flying actors in the play Peter Pan. , whose district includes Simi Valley and Moorpark, is seeking applicants for 11 seats on six advisory panels.

The positions are on the Air Pollution Control District Advisory Committee, the Alcohol and Drug Advisory Board, the Commission for Women, the Mental Health Board, the Tobacco Settlement-Allocation-Evaluation Oversight Advisory Committee, and the Emergency Medical Service Advisory Committee.

Job, Career Fair set for March 31

SIMI VALLEY -- The city will host its 21st annual Job and Career Fair, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. March 31 at the Boys & Girls Club, 2850 Lemon Drive.

The free career fair is designed to introduce job-seekers ages 16 to 22 with prospective employers.

Sign-ups begin for grand jury

VENTURA -- Ventura Superior Court is accepting applications for its upcoming grand jury, which investigates local governments and participates in management audits.

The grand jury term is July 1 through June 30, and involves 32 hours to 40 hours of work per week.

Aktion Club sets dinner dance

SIMI VALLEY -- The SimiSu Aktion Club, a service group for adults with developmental disabilities developmental disabilities (DD),

Event to benefit Music Festival

VENTURA -- A Night at the Moulin Rouge At the Moulin Rouge is an oil-on-canvas painting by French artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. It was painted between 1892 and 1895. It is one of a number of works by Toulouse-Lautrec depicting the Moulin Rouge cabaret built in Paris in 1889. , with music, dancing, wine, gourmet food and cabaret performances, will start at 5:30 p.m. March 31 to benefit the Ventura Music Festival.

Original work by 12 Ventura County artists will be auctioned at the event at the Ventura Beach Marriott Hotel, 2055 Harbor Blvd. The artwork is on display through March 29 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza The Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza is a performing arts and administrative center located in Thousand Oaks, California.
