BRIEFLY.CHP snares 50 in speed sting SAUGUS -- Fifty motorists, mostly from the Antelope Valley, were ticketed early Thursday on San Francisquito Canyon Road, a popular freeway alternative to the Santa Clarita Valley, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said. Seven officers saturated the canyon, stopping speeders from 6 to 10 a.m. The fastest-traveling motorist, driving a 2000 BMW Z3 Z3 - Zero 3 (Street Fighter: Zero 3 game), was clocked at 96 mph, Officer John Lutz said. The speed limit on the two-lane forest road is 55mph. The success of the crackdown prompted plans to hit other canyon roads frequented by commuters, Lutz said. -- Daily News Trout fishing derby Saturday LANCASTER -- Apollo Park in Lancaster will hold its annual trout fishing derby for adults from 7to 11a.m. Saturday at the park, 4555 W.
