Street shooting kills boy, 17

NORTH HOLLYWOOD -- A 17-year-old boy died Sunday after being shot several times while standing in the street in what police said was probably a gang attack.

Wrong-way driver blamed in death

SHERMAN OAKS -- A Studio City man was killed early Sunday when his car collided with one driven in the wrong direction by a Castaic man suspected of drunk driving on the Ventura Freeway, authorities said.

Greggory M. McMillon, 22, of Castaic was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter vehicular manslaughter n. the crime of causing the death of a human being due to illegal driving of an automobile, including gross negligence, drunk driving, reckless driving, or speeding.  and transported to Van Nuys jail, California Highway Patrol officers said.
