A car-theft suspect who was wounded in a shootout with police in Van Nuys on Thursday was identified by police Saturday as 19-year-old Felipe Sanchez, a local gang member.

Attacker wounds man in the neck

Missing woman has Alzheimer's

Topanga repaving to close lanes

GLENVIEW -- Starting Monday, a milelong stretch of Topanga Canyon Boulevard will be narrowed to one lane as part of a $5.5 million repaving project.

Caltrans crews are working on the section of the two-lane road between Santa Maria and Viewridge roads.

The road will be narrowed to one lane from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily through Friday. While flaggers will be in place to keep traffic moving, delays should be expected.
