Driver is cited in woman's death

FARSON, Wyo. -- A man who authorities say caused a fatal head-on crash that killed a Lancaster woman has been cited for an unsafe lane change.

Grant to help fight violence

LANCASTER -- The Governor's Office of Emergency Services has awarded a $83,219 grant to the Lancaster sheriff's station and two agencies to combat domestic violence in the Antelope Valley.

The grant will go to the Sheriff's Department Lancaster Domestic Violence unit, the Antelope Valley Domestic Violence Council and the Sexual Assault Response Service.The city of Lancaster will match the grant award in the amount of $27,740.

DryTown park passes PASSE - Advanced Planning and Scheduling Software and Systems for Europe go on sale

PALMDALE -- Season passes for the city of Palmdale's DryTown Water Park went on sale this week at the water park office located at 3850-B E. Avenue S. Office hours for pass sales are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Passes may also be purchased online at www.drytownpalmdale.com

Individual season passes purchased by April 1 cost $43 for Palmdale residents and $54 for nonresidents. A Family 4-Pack of four season passes costs $146 for Palmdale residents and $184 for nonresidents.

DryTown Water Park, a six-acre Old West mining town-themed aquatic park, opens Memorial Day weekend.
