The 2006 Business-to-Business Expo will be held Thursday in the Performance Hall at the Lane Events Center from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Sponsored by the Eugene Eugene, city (1990 pop. 112,669), seat of Lane co., W Oregon, on the Willamette River; inc. 1862. A processing and shipping center in a farming area, the "Emerald City" has lumbering, food-processing, and microchip and other electronics industries.  Area Chamber of Commerce, SAIF Corporation and LibertyBank, the Expo will include more than 150 exhibitors.

For tickets, register online or call 484-1314. Admission, purchased in advance, is $8 for chamber members and $12 at the door; non-members are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Bulk purchases - five or more tickets - cost $6 per ticket. Visit www.EugeneBusinessExpo.com for a list of exhibitors.

Applicants sought for positions on LCOG LCOG Lane Council of Governments  advisory committee

The Lane Council of Governments is seeking applicants to serve on its economic advisory committee.

The Lane Economic Committee does research related to economic development, advises the council and acts as a regional coordinator on some issues.

Three positions are open on the 15-member council, which meets the third Monday Monday: see week.  of each month. Members serve three-year terms.
