Spencer Creek Grange to host law officials

Lane County's district attorney and a law enforcement representative will speak to the next meeting of the Spencer Creek Grange, at 7 p.m. tonight, Lorane Highway and McBeth Road.

2006 Buddy Walk slated to kick off on Sunday

The 2006 Buddy Walk, which promotes acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome Down syndrome, congenital disorder characterized by mild to severe mental retardation, slow physical development, and characteristic physical features. Down syndrome affects about 1 in every 730 live births and occurs in all populations equally. , will take place Sunday at River Front Carousel Park in Salem.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and the one-mile walk starts at 11 a.m. Activities, lunch and carousel rides are planned afterward.

'Sooner Stroll' planned for Oklahoma fans

Downtown Eugene Inc. and the Convention and Visitors Association of Lane County Oregon have teamed up to make sure Oklahoma Sooner fans in town for Saturday's big game have a nice time in Eugene - at least until the game starts.

A "Sooner Stroll" through downtown Eugene starts at 7 p.m. Friday with one-hour stops scheduled at: The Ax Billy Grill & Sports Bar, Downtown Athletic Club The Downtown Athletic Club was an athletic club in a 35-story building located at 19 West Street in Lower Manhattan, New York City, USA.
