Gang trio faces death penalty

Federal prosecutors will seek the death penalty against three Vineland Boys gang members accused in the three-year-old murder of a 16-year-old girl who testified against one of them in a murder case, officials said Friday.

Jose ``Peps'' Ledesma, Javier ``Coco'' Covarrubius and Raul ``Clown'' Robledo are accused of killing Martha Puebla, who was gunned down outside her Sun Valley home a week after she testified in a preliminary hearing against Ledesma and another man, Mario Catalan, said Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Young.

The Puebla case received notoriety because police had originally arrested Mario Catalan's brother, Juan Catalan, but released him after outtakes of the HBO Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO)

The trial is expected to begin in August.
