Police arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with the stabbing that occurred shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday behind the Southtowne Lanes bowling alley.

An employee at Metropol bakery, 2538 Willamette St., called police at 7:15 p.m. and said there was a man on the floor bleeding with wounds to his stomach.

Police charged Brent Farrell Bosworth with driving under the influence of intoxicants and unlawful possession of marijuana. Bosworth was stopped while traveling on Highway 101 around 5:25 p.m. Saturday. His vehicle was impounded.

Such a proposal could end or dramatically shake up traditional Medicare, Medicaid and employer-paid health insurance programs, and could face strong opposition from business, unions and retirees.
