Therapy facility plans benefit ride

Registration for motorcyclists starts at 9 a.m. at Cycle Gear, 24508 Lyons Ave., Newhall. The entry fee is $25 for riders and $15 for passengers. The fee includes the ride, a poker run, lunch and admission to the after-the-run party at Route 66 in Canyon Country.

Nonriders and families can register at 11 a.m. at Route 66 for lunch, the Kids' Korner, and entertainment by blues band The Tipsy Kings and the Fire & Ice dance team. The cost is $15.

Riders at Carousel Ranch include those with autism, cerebral palsy cerebral palsy (sərē`brəl pôl`zē), disability caused by brain damage before or during birth or in the first years, resulting in a loss of voluntary muscular control and coordination. , mental retardation, brain injury, stroke, learning disorders and emotional problems.

 Ranch set for music event

SAUGUS - LARC Ranch will hold its annual fundraiser, billed as a ``Rock `n' Roll Celebration,'' beginning at 1 p.m. on Sept. 25 at the ranch, 29890 N. Bouquet Canyon Road, Saugus.

This year's event will feature a beach party theme with lunch and refreshments beginning at 1 p.m. and a concert by the Hodads at 2:30 p.m. The Hodads are five multitalented musicians who combine high-energy music, colorful costumes, celebrity impersonations and audience participation in their popular act.

Tickets are $125 for adults and $50 for children, with all proceeds benefiting the LARC (Los Angeles Retarded Citizens) Foundation.

LARC Ranch is dedicated to helping developmentally disabled adults thrive through a variety of programs including 13 on-site residential care homes, an adult developmental center, a day training activity center and a travel club.

Blues fundraiser to aid Red Cross

The Santa Clarita Valley The Santa Clarita Valley is the valley of the Santa Clara River in Southern California. It stretches through Los Angeles County and Ventura County. Its main population center is the city of Santa Clarita. The valley was part of the 48,612-acre (19,672.  Blues Society will host a Louisiana Lovesong Benefit to aid the victims of Hurricane Katrina at 3 p.m. Sunday at Joe's Great American Bar & Grill, 4311 W. Magnolia, Burbank.

Admission is $5 and all guests must be age 21 or older.
