Pie bakers prepare for Blackberry Jam LOWELL - The aroma of baking pies will fill the air here this weekend as local residents prepare the signature dish A signature dish is a recipe that identifies an individual chef. It can be thought of as the culinary equivalent of an artist finding their own style, or an author finding their own for their 10th annual Blackberry Jam. New events will include a petting zoo, 29-foot slide and a carnival, Jam Chairman Mike Galvin said. The free festival begins Friday at 5 p.m. in downtown Lowell's Rolling Rock Rolling Rock is a brand of pale lager beer. Although founded as a local beer in Western Pennsylvania, it was marketed aggressively and eventually became a national product. The brand was sold to Anheuser-Busch of St. Park.
