BRIEFLY YOUTH ORCHESTRA SET TO PLAY TODAY.


WOODLAND HILLS - The Youth Orchestra from California State University, Northridge CSUN offers a variety of programs leading to bachelor's degrees in 61 fields and master's degrees in 42 fields. The university has over 150,000 alumni. It's also home to a summer musical theater/theater program known as TADW (TeenAge Drama Workshop) that leads teenagers through an , will be featured today during the summer concert series at Warner Park

Warner Park is a community park in northern Madison, Wisconsin.

The concert begins at 5:30 p.m., and participants are encouraged to bring blankets, beach chairs and picnic dinners. Refreshments also will be available for sale.

Fernando group to honor students

WOODLAND HILLS - The Fernando Award Foundation will honor three El Camino Real High School El Camino Real High School (also known locally as "ECR" and by some more recently as "ELCO") is a public secondary school located in the Woodland Hills district of the San Fernando Valley region of the city of Los Angeles, California.  students for their volunteerism during a ceremony Tuesday.

Suspect sought in armed robbery

SIMI VALLEY - Police on Saturday were searching for an armed robber who took an undisclosed amount of cash from the TJ Maxx Store on 1293 Los Angeles Avenue.

The man approached the manager at 9:19 p.m., Friday in the store office and ordered her to open the safe, police said.

The man was described as white, early to mid-20s, black shoulder-length hair, 6 feet tall and 185 pounds. He was last seen wearing all black clothing.

 was shut down in both directions Saturday night when a collision involving a Jeep Cherokee, a Mercedes-Benz and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle caused a fire hydrant to be severed.

The collision occurred at Topanga Canyon Boulevard just before 9 p.m. Rushing water from the hydrant kept lanes closed for hours, California Highway Patrol officers said. No injuries were reported from the crash. The cause is still under investigation.
