Sonya Requejo, an 18-year-old Arleta resident identified as the boy's aunt, plowed a 1992 Toyota Tercel into a car and kept on going, briefly fleeing from police, Ackerman said. Requejo struck another car even as the driver of the first vehicle chased her, he said.

Requejo sought to evade the officers with a screeching right turn onto Sharp Street at about 30 mph when the driver's side rear door opened and the small boy came flying out, Ackerman said.

OXNARD - A man died Sunday after he was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in a car in an alley near the 4200 block of Terrace Avenue, police said.

Girl suffers shock, fatal heart attack

PANORAMA CITY - A 15-year-old girl died of a heart attack Sunday after suffering a shock while swimming at her home pool, fire and coroner's officials said.

The girl got zapped just before 7 p.m. while swimming in a backyard pool in the 7700 block of Clearfield Avenue, said Bob Collis of the Los Angeles Fire Department The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD), also known as the Los Angeles City Fire Department to distinguish it from the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
