BRIEFLY WOMAN IN CUSTODY AFTER WILD CHASE.


SYLMAR - A woman is suspected of driving her car into one vehicle and chasing another into a police car, officers said Sunday Sunday: see Sabbath; week. .

They said the episode ended when occupants of the vehicles got out and began beating each other up.

Authorities said the woman driver was chasing a man's car in the Sylmar area shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday when her auto allegedly hit a third vehicle at the Foothill Freeway and Polk Street Polk Street is a street in San Francisco that travels northward from Market Street to Jefferson Street.  - A man was hospitalized Sunday with critical burns after being found outside a stolen vehicle that was on fire near Lancaster, a sheriff's deputy said.

The man was found about 8:15 a.m. near 92nd Street West and Avenue A-12, said Deputy Darren Harris.

The man, in his late teens or early 20s, had critical burns and was described as near death at a hospital, said Deputy Faye Bugarin.
