Melanie Hershock of Foothill Ranch was getting out of the ride holding her 16-month-old daughter when the boat lurched forward, causing her to tumble over.

Hershock hit her head on one of the boat's plastic benches in the 3 p.m. accident but was conscious and had no cuts, Disneyland spokesman Ray Gomez said.

``The boat is supposed to come to a complete stop,'' Gomez said. ``We have notified Cal-OSHA, and our policy is to keep (the ride) closed.''

Hershock was taken to Western Medical Center Anaheim complaining of neck pain and a headache, said hospital spokesman Ronald Bingham. She was treated and released a few hours later.
