Lottery tickets have wrong dates

California Lottery officials apologized for a computer error that caused some SuperLotto Plus tickets sold Sunday for Wednesday's drawing to have the wrong date on them.

Some tickets incorrectly have an Oct. 11 date, which is Saturday. The correct date is Oct. 8.

``All tickets issued (today) with the wrong date of Saturday ... are in fact valid for Wednesday's draw, regardless of the date shown on the ticket,'' according to a Lottery statement.

The problem was discovered at 9:30 a.m. and statewide sales of Lottery tickets were immediately suspended.
