No decision yet in rape victim's suit
VENTURA - A Ventura County Superior Court offered no decision Monday in a lawsuit by a victim of convicted rapist Andrew Luster who is seeking millions from the Max Factor heir.
The woman, identified as Shawna Doe, is suing Luster for emotional damages as one of three women he was convicted of drugging, raping and videotaping. Luster, a fugitive before his capture in Mexico earlier this summer, is serving what amounts to life in prison.
Shawna Doe's lawyer, Barry Novack, said a copy of a videotape he submitted of the unconscious rape victim speaks for itself: ``I don't have to argue the graphicness of the case.''
