SIMI VALLEY Simi Valley (sē`mē, sĭm`ē), city (1990 pop. 100,217), Ventura co., SW Calif. in an oil, fruit, and farm region; laid out 1887, inc. 1969.  - Police Department officials are urging residents to be cautious after a recent rash thefts from mail boxes.

Authorities say victims of mail theft are likely to become victims of identity theft and fraud.

The Crime Prevention Unit of the Simi Valley Police Department The Simi Valley Police Department (SVPD) is the police department of the city of Simi Valley, California. The department currently has over 120 sworn officers, and more than 65 support personnel[1]. Softball leagues registering now

MOORPARK - The city's Community Services department is accepting registrations for Summer Adult Softball Leagues.

Summer leagues include men's league, coed league, a men's 45 and over league and the coed one-pitch league.

Games are played at Arroyo Vista Community Park and Peach Hill Park. League play starts the week of June 21 and runs for 10 weeks.

The registration fee is between $200 and $380, depending on the league.

Deadline today for discounts tickets

MOORPARK - Today is the last day to get your discount tickets for the Apricot Festival at the Arroyo Vista Recreation Center.

Ticket books are $10 at the center and include 10 tickets good for one ride each.

Heart pins benefit hospice programs
