NORTHRIDGE - A public hearing will be held Wednesday evening on the San Fernando Valley San Fernando Valley

Trial set for man in four rape cases

PASADENA - A Tujunga man accused of being the Foothill Rapist was ordered Monday to stand trial in attacks on four women.

Clifton Hutchins, 34, remains jailed in lieu of $4.5 million bail.

He is suspected of raping three women from Pasadena and a fourth from La Crescenta after breaking into their homes.

School to conduct meeting series

CANOGA PARK - A charter school that seeks to make students fluent in English and Spanish is holding a series of information meetings for parents of prospective kindergartners entering school this fall.

Man pleads guilty in insider trading

A former venture capital business executive pleaded guilty Monday to a federal charge stemming from insider trading involving the takeover of the Times Mirror Co. in March 2000.

Daniel J. Wooten III, 38, of Torrance was controller of Santa Monica- based Rustic Canyon Group. He has since resigned, according to according to
